Biography

As a senior solutions engineer, Adams helps shippers and railcar owners implement rail optimization strategies, analyze large data sets, and solve complex operational challenges. Adams also leads internal and customer training sessions that strengthen understanding of the rail data behind operational improvements. Adams directs the TransmetriQ Training and Consulting Institute, where he teaches courses on Railroading Operations, the Loaded Railcar Shipment Cycle, Intermodal Operations, and technical railroad terminology, and provides custom training upon request. A multigenerational railroader, Adams is deeply engaged in the industry and was named a 2025 Pro to Know by Supply & Demand Chain Executive in the Leaders in Excellence category. He also serves on the IANA Intermodal Operations Committee.
