Biography

Todd Nuelle serves as Chief Commercial Officer of Anacostia Rail Holdings, where he leads the company’s commercial strategy, business development, and customer engagement across its portfolio of short line railroads. In this role, he is responsible for expanding freight opportunities, strengthening partnerships with shippers and logistics providers, and advancing innovative supply chain solutions that connect regional rail networks to the broader North American transportation system.TransmetriQ Reporting & Analytics identifies proactive opportunities to reduce maintenance costs, rightsize fleets, and improve uptime.

Nuelle brings more than 25 years of experience in the transportation and logistics industry, with leadership roles spanning rail, intermodal, and supply chain operations. Prior to joining Anacostia, he served as Senior Director of Supply Chain Operations at Canadian National Railway, where he managed the Great Lakes business unit, overseeing rail, dock, and vessel operations handling approximately 90 million tons of product annually. He also led CN’s automotive logistics operations and oversaw 31 transload facilities across North America, driving multimillion-dollar growth through terminal development, operational improvements, and customer-focused strategies.

Earlier in his career, Nuelle held senior leadership roles in sales, marketing, and operations at Hub Group and CSX Intermodal, building extensive experience in freight transportation, logistics strategy, and customer relationship management. Throughout his positions, he has been recognized for developing innovative logistics solutions, growing freight volumes, and building strong partnerships across the transportation industry.

Nuelle holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Illinois at Chicago and a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from the University of Illinois Urbana‑Champaign.
